I am a PhD student from Serbia, conducting sociolinguistically informed psycholinguistic research. I use eye-tracking and EEG (ERPs and Time-frequency analysis) to probe the effects of social practices and individual factors on bilingual language processing. I am currently working on a series of projects studying the effects of code-switching on subsequent language processing. This work is grounded in sociolinguistic research on pragmatic functions of code-switching and is directed by Dr. Valdes Kroff and Dr. Edith Kaan. One of the goals of my research is legitimizing bilingualism and encouraging bilinguals, often members of marginalized communities, to pursue academic careers. To this end, I also train assistants and organize data analysis workshops. I am also a visual artist, machine learning enthusiast, and an avid animal lover.
