Hi everyone! I’m a fourth-year Linguistics and Communications Sciences and Disorders double major with a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language acquired here at UF. I joined BLAB because I was interested in the area of psycholinguistics that deals with language acquisition and aphasia in bilinguals, and I was curious as to how research delved into these topics. Currently I’m an RA for a study which investigates novel language learning in bilinguals, and the cognitive changes that come with a short language learning experience. I plan to go to graduate school to get a degree in speech language pathology, but I would also like to return to the academic field to pursue research in bilingual aphasia. Outside of the lab I like to play my instruments, search for new music, and participate in physical activities.
