Hello! I’m going into my fifth year majoring in wildlife ecology and conservation and Spanish. My interest in linguistics grew out of the Spanish classes I was taking, so I joined the BLaB last Fall as a research assistant to explore research side of linguistics. As someone who grew up speaking Dutch and English and then learning Spanish later in life, I find the ways bilingualism affects the brain fascinating, and seeing that come to life through EEG has been really cool. Outside of BLaB, I also volunteer at a lab in the wildlife ecology department studying agamas, and in my free time, I enjoy handbuilding, kayaking, and hanging out with friends.
