I’m Kengyu Lin, currently a graduate student in the Department of Linguistics. I’m interested in the processing of linguistic structures in general (e.g. syntactic structure, semantic/conceptual structure). I’m especially interested in how hierarchical structures of theoretical linguistic account(s) can be represented in the brain. I’m currently working with Dr. Kaan on a project of sentence processing using the EEG technique.Being an international student from Taiwan, I think life here is exciting and also challenging. If you are a prospective graduate student or a prospective international graduate student, when you are faced with the challenges, learning to cook and enjoying authentic/delicious foods can indeed help you go through the challenges.
